We're hiring a Graphic Designer Intern at TechFlecks. You'll create visual content, support branding efforts, and collaborate with our team — a great opportunity to build real-world design experience.

Internship RemotePosted 7/12/2026

About the Role

As a Graphic Designer Intern at TechFlecks, you will play a key role in shaping how our brand looks and feels across every touchpoint - from social media graphics and marketing collateral to website visuals and internal presentations. You'll work closely with our marketing and product teams to translate ideas into compelling visual content that communicates our message clearly and consistently.

This role matters because design is often the first impression a candidate, client, or partner has of TechFlecks. Strong, cohesive visuals build trust, communicate professionalism, and help our brand stand out in a competitive tech landscape. As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to contribute real work that gets seen and used - not just practice projects - while learning how design decisions tie into broader business and marketing goals.

You'll gain hands-on experience with the full design process: understanding a brief, exploring concepts, iterating based on feedback, and delivering polished final assets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their design career to build a professional portfolio, learn industry tools and workflows, and grow under the mentorship of an experienced team.

What You'll Work On

Visual Content Creation

Design a wide range of visual assets including social media graphics, marketing collateral, presentation decks, and promotional materials that align with TechFlecks' brand identity. Ensure all designs are polished, on-brand, and optimized for their intended platform (web, print, or social).

Brand Identity Support

Help maintain and evolve TechFlecks' visual brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all internal and external materials. Collaborate with the marketing team to apply brand elements (colors, typography, logo usage) correctly across new assets.

Collaborative Design Iteration

Work closely with marketing, product, and leadership teams to gather requirements, present design concepts, and revise work based on constructive feedback. Present multiple design options when appropriate to support decision-making.

Asset Management & Organization

Maintain an organized library of design files, templates, and brand assets so that materials are easy to locate, reuse, and update as needed by the wider team.

How We Expect You to Think

Approach each design brief by first understanding the audience and the message before jumping into visuals. Balance creativity with brand consistency - every design should feel fresh but instantly recognizable as TechFlecks. Treat feedback as a tool for growth, not criticism, and stay flexible while keeping the original goal in focus. Prioritize clear communication, since a great design that isn't understood by stakeholders doesn't serve its purpose. Stay curious about design trends, but filter them through what genuinely fits the brand rather than chasing trends for their own sake.

Required Skills

Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator

Core tools for creating and editing visual assets like social media graphics, banners, and marketing collateral. Proficiency ensures designs are professional, pixel-accurate, and export-ready across formats.

Canva

Enables quick turnaround on templated or time-sensitive content such as social posts and internal announcements, which is common in fast-paced marketing environments.

Typography & Color Theory

Strong foundational knowledge ensures designs are visually balanced, readable, and consistent with brand guidelines - critical for maintaining a cohesive brand identity across all materials.

Brand Guideline Adherence

The role involves applying TechFlecks' existing visual identity (colors, fonts, logo usage) consistently across new assets, so understanding and following brand standards is essential.

Communication & Feedback Handling

Design work is collaborative and iterative; the intern must clearly present concepts, explain design rationale, and incorporate feedback from marketing and leadership without losing sight of project goals.

Basic Layout & Composition for Print/Digital

Ensures assets are properly formatted for their intended medium (social media, web, print), avoiding costly errors like incorrect resolution, bleed, or aspect ratio.

Time Management

Interns often juggle multiple design requests with tight deadlines, so the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively is necessary to meet team and campaign timelines.

Nice to Have

  • Figma
  • After Effects / Motion Graphics
  • UI/UX Basics
  • Video Editing
  • Photography
  • Illustration / Hand-drawn Art
  • HTML/CSS Basics
  • Social Media Trends Awareness

Explicitly NOT Required

  • Prior Internship Experience
  • Formal Design Degree
  • Client-Facing Experience
  • Agency Background
  • Portfolio of Paid Work

We care more about the quality and creativity of your work than how many years you've been designing. Whether your experience comes from coursework, personal projects, freelance gigs, or self-taught exploration, what matters most is your eye for design, willingness to learn, and ability to take feedback and iterate. A strong portfolio - even a small one - that shows thoughtful design decisions will stand out more than a long resume. We're looking for potential and passion, not a checklist of past job titles.

How We Work

As an intern, you'll work closely with the marketing team and receive regular guidance, especially in your first few weeks as you get familiar with our brand and workflows. Expect a mix of independent design work and collaborative check-ins - you'll typically receive a brief, have room to explore creative directions, then review drafts with your manager before finalizing. Meetings are kept lean: a quick weekly sync to align on priorities, plus informal check-ins as needed when feedback or new requests come up. We value open communication, so you're encouraged to ask questions early rather than guess and revise later.

What This Role Is NOT

This is a purely creative, hands-off role where you just "make things look pretty."

Design here is closely tied to marketing goals and brand strategy - every asset needs to serve a purpose, not just look good. You'll learn to design with intent, where success is measured by how well a piece communicates its message, not just its visual appeal.

As an intern, you'll mostly be doing busywork like resizing images or formatting slides.

You'll be a real contributor to marketing and brand projects that actually get used and seen. This means meaningful design work that builds your portfolio with real, published assets - not just practice exercises.

This is a solo role where you work independently with little oversight.

You'll have room for creative exploration, but regular feedback and collaboration are core to how this role works. Expect consistent check-ins and mentorship, especially while you're ramping up.

This role is the same as a UI/UX Designer or Product Designer position.

This role is focused primarily on marketing and brand design - think social graphics, collateral, and presentations - not app or product interface design. Any overlap with product visuals would be occasional, not core to the role.
